Telling Compelling Climate Stories

Event Details

As part of the Citizens Climate International Conference, Peterson will present a practical and inspiring workshop on improving climate communication skills.

No story is harder to tell than the one about our changing climate and what it means for each of us. Reciting the facts is not enough to move people to action, in fact, many shut down when they hear even the mention of global warming. How we break through the collective silence in creative and effective ways?

This workshop provides examples of creative storytelling and give participants helpful prompts to help them share their own stories about our changing planet. In this workshop you will walk away with fresh ideas for your own stories to share with friends and family, and in your outreach to the community and to members of congress.
