Event Details

The Queerness Committee of the The Friends Councils for National Legislation (FCNL) presents an in-house, on-line staff event:

Queerker Peterson Toscano on art, activism, comedy

Peterson Toscano, a quirky, queer, American Quaker living in South Africa jokes about being a member of the peace-loving Religious Society of Friends, “I don’t get violent; just passive aggressive.” Using comedy, storytelling, and multimedia, Peterson takes on big issues—conversion therapy, LGBTQ liberation, queer theology, and climate change. In a lively Zoom session Peterson will share ways he and his fellow activists have used storytelling and art to shift public opinion and deepen conversations.
This presentation is for the FCNL staff and their invited guests.
