Gender Outlaws in the Bible (Bloomsburg University)

Event Details

For the Mid-Atlantic LGBTQA Conference at Bloomsburg University, Peterson will explore gender outlaws in the Bible.

Through performance and interactive discussion Peterson Toscano reveals stories of gender and sexual minorities in the Bible. Entertaining, informative, and suitable for people secular and religious, Toscano’s “performance lecture” deepens well-known (and lesser-known) Bible stories and presents an array of Bible characters with an array of genders. Who knew there are gender non-binary and gender outlaws in the Bible who saved the day? Peterson literally morphs before your eyes and unearths people you had no idea were in the Bible. No previous Bible knowledge required.

Saturday November 4, 2017 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm McCormick Center 2303

Register for the conference: Reunion: Return, Reconnect, Respond
