Bocked! 阻攔

What do Facebook,,,, Ex-Gay Watch and this very blog have in common?

We are all blocked by the Great Firewall of China. Yep, lots of sites cannot be accessed in China (there are some work-arounds but even those are drying up fast). Guess we are too subversive or counter-revolutionary or something. ( and are censored also. Surprised?)

Some sites that can be accessed in China include QuakerQuaker,, Focus on the Family and Willful Grace (whose author, Pam, is now the newest writer with Ex-Gay Watch!)

hat tip to Contemplative Activist who informed me via e-mail that my blog is blocked but hers is not. That causes me to ask the question, which one of us is doing something wrong?

You can test a site here.

It says that I am blocked, too 🙁 lol … Greetings to a fellow subversive 🙂

I tried the base URL for my site, as opposed to the blog URL, and it’s all being blocked. Between the blog and the cartoons I guess my site is just one great big temptation to thoughtcrime.

Not quite the honor of being labeled a militant homosexual propaganda site by Peter LaBarbera and Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality…but it’ll do… So…Hello to all my subversive comrades!

I jealous! My site is not blocked, I guest I am not subversive enough 🙁

    (Pisst… Hehehehe… On the other hand, isn’t being blocked… Don’t let The Party know…)

I picked up the dot net domain at the same time I got the dot com one, as a backup. They have both always pointed to the same server. On a lark I just tried the dot net address and discovered it worked fine. So it isn’t a real time content based thing. They must actually have a list they’re working from.

I am jealous – I always think the best books/films etc., are those that have been censored.

I guess I’m just not subversive enough either – ah well, with Pam and Diana, I guess I’m in good company.

You are all a bunch of subversives! And that is why I love you all so much. 🙂

I’m not blocked. Imagine that! A transgender, lesbian who practices Tibetan Buddhism and rails against the delusions of power and fear that typify the Chinese government!

I’ll have to right that down in my little red book.

Come out to where the blogosphere meets the Dharmiverse

Well, well, well. I guess the folks over the great Censor in China are just totally opposed to anyone Skipping to the Piccolo!

Darn. I guess I skip too much.
